During these challenging times in our community, Empower and its employees have stepped up to support those in need. The company raised its donation match in April and May, raising more than $1.3 million for multiple organizations on top of an additional $250,000 from Empower to support local coronavirus relief efforts.
Empower continues to be a strong supporter of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, contributing their time, talent, and financial support.
We are proud to have Chief Marketing Officer, Senior Vice President Steve Jenks serves on our Board of Directors in support of our mission. Empower employees Raquel Kennedy and Kimberly Towne are matched as Big Sisters in our Community Based mentoring program. Raquel has been matched for eight years and Kimberly for three years and we appreciate the time and dedication they have contributed to their match relationships.
Empower is also the Big Impact Presenting Sponsor for the Big Little Gala-Home Edition on September 19th. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and first ever livestream event with house watch parties to support our mission to provide critical one-to-one mentoring services to youth in our community.
