BBBSC is excited to introduce you to our two newest matches in Pikes Peak: Kiel and Thiago, enthusiastic twins who were eager to embark on their mentoring journey! They both have very different personalities so it was important to find the perfect match for both of them.
“I interviewed Kiel and Thiago back in November and knew that whoever they were paired with would have a great time,” Program Specialist Jenna shared. “Because they were enthusiastic, conversational, and eager to meet their Big.”
Kiel’s match with Ryan was an instant success. The two bonded effortlessly, exchanging questions, and sharing hearty laughs. After the introduction, Kiel and Thiago’s mom pulled Jenna aside to ask, “How did you find another Kiel? Ryan acts how I imagine Kiel as an adult.” After the interaction, Thiago was very eager to meet his Big and fortunately, it did not take long till a meeting was scheduled for him to meet his Big Barry.
Soon, Thiago met Barry, a retired school counselor whose calming presence was a perfect fit for Thiago’s more reserved nature. Walking into the coffee shop to meet Barry, Thiago’s face lit up with joy. Barry’s gentle demeanor and understanding instantly put Thiago at ease, paving the way for a promising mentorship.
