Jeremiah and Will have been matched in the Community Mentoring program since March 2013. After seven years together, they have a very relaxed friendship. Their favorite activities include going out to eat, hitting up the batting cages or playing basketball or arcade games. Both spoke fondly of one special outing when they saved up their points at Dave & Busters and cashed in to celebrate Jeremiah’s birthday. h while practicing social distancing!
This match is especially impressive because of how they have managed to keep their friendship alive following a big move. Will moved all the way to Fort Collins a couple years ago but this did not discourage them from staying in each other’s lives. Despite the distance, they remain positive and consistent! They speak wonderfully about one and other, making it clear that they both have a mutual respect and appreciation for the bond they have created over the many years.
