“BEING THE FIRST ONE IN MY FAMILY TO GO TO COLLEGE IS A REALLY BIG THING. I WANT TO MAKE MYSELF PROUD BUT I ALSO WANT TO ENCOURAGE MY BROTHER AND MY SISTER TO GO TO COLLEGE. I KNOW THAT IF I CAN DO IT, THEY CAN DO IT.” Little – Angelica

Mentor2.0 is a technology-enhanced way to support high school students as they develop a plan for reaching graduation and their best path forward into post-secondary options. The program serves high school students at Englewood High School and the Girls Athletic Leadership School in Denver, and Atlas Preparatory School in Colorado Springs. This program builds relationships between a student and an adult mentor through weekly online communication and monthly in-person group activities which take place at the school. The program uses a proven curriculum to ensure students graduate high school prepared for post-secondary education and the workforce.
Volunteer Enrollment for the 2021-2022 school year is now complete. The 2022 and 2023 graduating classes at Englewood High School, Girls Athletic Leadership School in Denver, and Atlas Preparatory School will be the last Mentor 2.0 cohorts supported by BBBSC. If you’re interested in volunteering with a high-school student, please inquire about our Community Mentoring and Sports Buddies Mentoring programs – enrollment is open!
At Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado, we have tremendous confidence in our ability to impact children and put them on the right path. But it means even more when an outside study comes to the same conclusion. Click here to learn more about our Nationwide School-Based Mentoring Study.
