Anna is a 12th grader at GALS. She has been matched with Jen since September 2018. Anna is the quiet and reserved type, but Jen has a knack for drawing her out of her shell. Anna and Jen have met for every mentor2.0 event this school year. They usually start off the event by giving each other an update on their pets – Anna’s guinea pigs usually make a special guest appearance on the call!
Jen has helped Anna figure out what her post-secondary path will be. Anna has always loved animals and knew she wanted to study veterinary science. With Jen’s help, Anna has applied to four colleges in Colorado. Jen’s thoughtful guidance helped Anna determine that she will be more successful at a school closer to home.
Anna and Jen have been a great match to watch over the last two years. Together, they have grown in their mutual respect, trust, and friendship. They are hoping they will get to celebrate graduation in-person this spring.
