Little Brother Isaac (Temoc) and Big Brother Mark have been matched in the Community program since February 2018. At the beginning, Temoc was skeptical and didn’t think the match would last, but by spending time with Mark, the two have developed a strong bond and have been together for more than four years.
A few of the activities Temoc and Mark enjoy doing together are going to parks, trampoline parks, and hiking. They have even earned the nickname Park Bros because they love going to parks so much, they have visited 10 different parks. They also enjoy trying new things together. Mark recently recorded a video of Temoc trying Wasabi for the first time!
Reflecting on the BBBSC program, Temoc shares, “BBBSC is a wonderful program that has given me a mentor figure to look up too. My Big is someone that makes me laugh, listens to what is going on in my life and gives me extra support when I need it. I am grateful to BBBSC for matching me with a great guy.”
Mark shares, “Initially I wanted to teach Temoc something new every time we hung out. Nowadays he’s usually the one teaching me something new. I don’t just love hanging out with Temoc, I also just plain love him. He is an amazing human being.”
