Little Isaiah and Big Elli have been matched for almost 4 years. Isaiah first enrolled in the program when he was 10 years old and is currently getting ready to start his freshman year of high school. They started out in the Community-based program but switched to Sports Buddies because they both enjoy sport-type activities. They love playing basketball and always have fun together as well as other matches at events.
Isaiah can be quiet and finds it hard to be open with others, but because of their relationship and trust that was built over the years, he has become more comfortable and confident in himself. They have built a great connection and Elli has been a positive influence on Isaiah and advocates for him in so many ways. They have been able to support each other through their own experiences with grief and loss. Isaiah feels very close with Elli and has said consistently that he would not change anything about their relationship.
Elli and Isaiah have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to their relationship through many difficult situations and have come out of those experiences with a deeper relationship.
