Mentor2.0 Spotlight

mentor2.0 is a technology-enriched mentoring program providing high school students the support and guidance needed to graduate high school and succeed in college and the workforce. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado partners with schools in both the Denver metropolitan area and in Colorado Springs.

Accenture employee, Lorna Pattison, had the following to say about her mentor2.0 experience so far:

“I think the curriculum is amazing, allowing [Abby] to use critical thinking and mentor real-world experience to prepare for what’s during and after high school. I’ve enjoyed getting to know the amazing, smart person she is and seeing her grow and take actions to reach her goals. My favorite moment thus far was seeing her excitement after attending summer college programs—she was ecstatic about the experience and what she knows she can accomplish!

As a mentor, I have a much better understanding of the challenges under-represented youth experience and what dreams for the future they have.  Being able to contribute to helping my mentee reach her goals is the greatest joy I ever experienced as a volunteer!”
