Mentor2.0 Spotlight

mentor2.0 is a technology-enriched mentoring program providing high school students the support and guidance needed to graduate high school and succeed in college and the workforce. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado partners with schools in both the Denver metropolitan area and in Colorado Springs.

Empower Retirement employee, Marie Scott, had the following to say about her mentor2.0 experience so far:

“I wanted to volunteer as a mentor because I felt that I could relate to what the students were going through and I knew how much I would have benefited from having a mentor in my life. My mentee Evelin is much more interested in college than she was before. She has several ambitions and understands that to pursue them, a college degree is required. The time commitment is small compared to the impact you can have on a student’s life.”
